11/1. Today I saw a hearing evaluation from Steel Drum . This was a 30 year old female. Otoscopic evaluation revealed normal, heathly canals. Patient reported having excess wax and had been using over the counter ear drops which seemed to help. Typms. were normal bilaterally. Contralateral reflexes were also normal for the right and left ear. Ipsilateral reflexes were not tested. Decay was tested a positive response was observed in the right and left ear at 1000 Hz. Air conduction testing was done and patient was within normal limits. Bone conduction testing was not done. Client was given ear plugs and seemed concerned with protecting her hearing. It was a good session to observe!

10/25. I saw an older man from the Carpenter Shop. He had called in himself to reschedule his appointment after we had not contacted him. He seemed to be concerned with his hearing and new it was time for his yearly appointment. He complained of some pain in his left ear, but ototscopic evaulation revealed clean, healthy canals. His tymps. were also normal, as well as contralateral reflexes. Ipsilateral were not tested. He had some high frequency loss starting at 2000 Hz. This did not seem to bother him in his everyday life. He had a bilateral, sloping, normaly to severe loss. Bone conduction was not tested.
